THE CUSTOM TEAM IS HIRING A FULL TIME PHYSICAL THERAPIST
WHAT WE OFFER Flexible schedules and a relaxed atmosphere | Health benefits | 3 weeks of paid time off | Continuing Education | We close early every Friday | Team events and the chance to meet professional athletes | The satisfaction of seeing your patients recover from injury and meet crazy goals
Custom Performance was founded in 2014 with the vision that all people have the opportunity to experience self-transformation through running. The Custom Team is dedicated to helping runners of all abilities achieve their goals; whether this is coming back successfully from injury, hitting a specific time or distance, or just learning to run more effectively.
Custom has seen incredible growth since our early days and we’re looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team. Our PTs are focused on providing quality care and take a holistic approach to runner health. PTs support their patients through physical aches and pains, coach on nutrition and mental health, and help plan for big races.
Custom has built an incredible team: we are all committed to seeing our patients succeed. As a result, you may be asked for a second opinion on a particular therapy or injury, help another PT develop a training plan for a particular runner or step in and sub when schedules change. There’s a huge sense of camaraderie and shared ownership here and we truly believe that we are stronger as a team.
If you’re an experienced PT who is interested in working with runners, we’d love to hear from you.
What you will do:
Spend quality time with patients. We deliberately keep caseloads light so you can perform full hour evaluations and then have 30 minutes for follow up visits
Perform hands-on manual techniques including soft tissue and joint mobilizations
Conduct running assessments and gait analysis; advise patients on form fixes as needed
Create training plans for patients, assess setbacks and make changes as needed
Coach on nutrition, strength conditioning, stretching, and mental toughness
Have fun! We have a great atmosphere and our patients often come to Custom just to hang out (or nap)
What you need to have:
PT, DPT and applicable certifications for the role (OCS, CSCS, RRCA, etc.)
Some prior experience working with outpatient orthopedic patients
Growth mindset; you’ll do well here if you are constantly looking for ways to learn new skills and better your craft
You have a genuine desire to help a team improve and get better
Genuine interest in and desire to work with runners
Active listening skills and attention to detail. We want you to get to know your patients and help them achieve their goals
Integrity and the ability to develop trust and rapport with your patients
Travel and flexible hours are required. We have two locations and you may be asked to split hours between both.
If you are interested, we would love to hear from you! Please submit information below and someone on the team will get back to you!
