I would say that for me the biggest effect the pandemic has had on my life is that I’m less emotionally stable. I used to keep my weeks very busy. After work I would often be out doing something three or four nights a week – seeing friends, seeing theater, going out to eat – and my weekends were just as packed
Favorite pastimes (other than running!) Hmm. Between wrangling three kids all in different types of school and getting in my runs, I love learning how to cook, building legos and jigsaw puzzles with Alex and the kids, and snuggling with our five guinea pigs (Chestnut, Annabelle, Midnight, Ruby, and Rosie).
Where are you from and how does that affect who you are today? I grew up on Long Island, in a Revolutionary War town, and I have always loved the history of the town. When I’m training for races, I’ll sometimes drive out to my hometown to do long runs as a moment of reflection and appreciation of where I’ve come from.
Describe yourself in one sentence: I am optimistic, driven, and will do my best to convince you to join me in a sweaty pursuit. Where are you from and how does that influence who you are today? I am originally from Sonoma, CA. I have a strong appreciation for both nature and wine and prefer to enjoy both together.
