Dr. Anthony McNulty, PT, DPT, OCS – Physical Therapist

(he/him/his)

Quote: “Progress over perfection.”

Personal Story

  • Anthony earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University and his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University at Albany. He is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. Anthony was involved in martial arts most of his young life and knows first hand what it is like to recover from an injury. His first exposure to PT was following a knee surgery; the interpersonal and empathetic nature of the field always stood out to him. He has brought this first hand experience into his patient care which has allowed him to appreciate the rehab process to help patients resume their passions.

Treatment Style

  • At Custom, Anthony found a philosophy that aligns with how he believes rehab should be delivered: individualized, movement-driven, and rooted in education. He loves working with runners, strength athletes, and all types of active individuals, including but not limited to, baseball players, basketball players, soccer players, racquet sport players, and all types of youth athletes. Anthony also has extensive training and knowledge in treating post-operative orthopedic conditions. His treatment style blends evidence-based orthopedic care with progressive strength training, load management, and honest conversations about goals and expectations. Whether someone is training for their first race, aiming for a PR in the gym, or aiming to get back on the court, Anthony believes rehab should build capacity and long term tolerance — not just decrease pain.
